Preparation is essential to confidence. When you need to keep fear at bay, It breeds that essential confidence to approach a situation. This increases your chance at a positive result. Yes, it’s not sexy. There is romance and charm in the story of that freak talent who walks into a situation and wins it on pure genius. However, I’m not sure such a person exists. At least, most of us aren’t that person.
